VI PEEL ACNE is one of the most effective Acne treatments available today! We offer this peel at our Tustin & Long Beach locations. VI PEEL ACNE contains a peel formula plus powerful ingredients for superior, consistent results for patients:

  1. Benzoyl Peroxide removes bacteria, clears the pores & increases cell turnover
  2. Salicylic Acid: causes the cells of the epidermis to shed, opening clogged pores and neutralizing the bacteria within while constricting the pore diameter to prevent further clogging
  3. Vitamin C: A powerful antioxidant to remove toxins from the environment Kojic Acid: brightens skin and reduces acne scars.

Laser Therapy and IPL

Laser and IPL (intense Pulsed Light) therapy has been used for acne treatments also. This works best when used in conjunction with either acne products or Chemical peels. This can help to reduce the intensity of acne breakouts but also start to improve acne scarring. If patients have been on Retinol prescription products for some time however, they must be off of it for 6 months to a year before laser can be applied due to increased sensitivity. FAQ's

What is the procedure for Laser Therapy treatment?

We always perform a consultation, skin evaluation and test patch before proceeding with the procedure. Goggles are then placed over your eyes for protection. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation. The actual treatment usually takes less than fifteen minutes, making it convenient for your lunch hour or after work.

How many treatments do I need?

Recommended number of treatments: We recommend 2-3 treatments at 2 to 3 week intervals for maximum results. Results may vary.

What should I expect right after the treatment?

Following the procedure, you may notice some initial reddening of the skin and brown spots may slightly darken. Do not go out into the sun for at least 24 hrs.

Any side effects?

Although patients experience few side effects, the most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. In rare instances blistering, scarring or pigment changes may occur. Special considerations are important when lasers are used on darker skin tones to allow for safe and effective treatment. No sun exposure for up to 24 hours after the treatment.
